Ciaran McClennon recently completed an extension to our Devon Long House – a large thatched property.
We received, from the outset, a very detailed quotation which made it pretty easy to understand and track adjustments to the cost, as inevitably items were added and removed. This transparent process was most welcome and avoided any ‘misunderstandings’ on costs, so prevalent in the building trade.
The quality of the workmanship was excellent; in particular the extensive stone work on the walls which blended in perfectly with the original walls. There was also a considerable amount of oak carpentry which again was a very good match to the existing interior.
As a second home we were absent for most of the build and Ciaran has a very good sense of what works and what doesn’t. He was also very accommodating when changes were needed to be made.
Ciaran and his team were very professional and always willing to fulfil requests. We will certainly use them again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to others.
