Blackpool Sands House

We were delighted to transform two large derelict houses to beautiful homes at Blackpool Sands working with Mark Legard, architect with Savills, for Sir Geoffrey Newman and family.

The properties had stood empty for a long time and suffered a lot of weather damage. They required a lot of work both inside and out including building work, roofing, total rewiring and plumbing, plastering and refitting. It was important that the character was kept whilst bringing them up to the requirements of modern day living complete with new kitchens and bathrooms.

I am pleased to confirm that we are happy with the work which you carried out for us at Blackpool House and Reed House, at Blackpool Sands.

Your initial costing and tender submission was comprehensive and reflected your Quantity Surveyor experience in preparing costs for this type of work.

Your Site Manager was thorough and experienced and approached the challenges of this type of work flexibly and conscientiously, and in a manner which “respected” the original and listed fabric.

The office back up and administration worked efficiently and courteously in managing and co-ordinating sub-contractors and suppliers and in ensuring that the timing of trades’ input was anticipated and the work executed on programme with sufficient flexibility to address instructions issued as the work proceeded and underlying condition revealed.

The work was completed to a high standard of finish and minor defects noted on completion addressed quickly.

Our clients would be pleased to show your clients the work which you implemented.
